It turned out to be the stop hazard 20 amp fuse that had blown, Popped in a new one and brake lights and hazards worked.

If no power going to the switch back up tpo the curteousy center and then the fuse. Broken wire or bad connector. 4 out of 4 people think this is helpful. Check along the run for rotted, broken or degraded wire. They use the same ground.
