Thanks for all the replies anyways. When I booted up my PC again, everything seemed fine until I noticed that my GPU was idling at +100 °C (+212 °F). Now it works at about 40% of full speed and still makes allot of noise, this is the number one noise making component of my PC (same as on the XP, Which nVidia version are you running. um... I might look at changing the cooling system, but for now it works very well and comes far from overheating.
